What is yoga?
Yoga is an ancient Indian practice with a deep spiritual and philosophical history impossible to summarize in a paragraph.
As a teacher, I draw my inspiration from a number of sources  - Buddhist teachings, nature and science, human nature, and my own experiences in life.  Yoga  invites awareness and understanding of our minds, bodies and actions.  Yoga postures and breathing improve circulation, concentration, strength and flexibility.  The resulting sense of balance and well being allows us to find focus, patience and pleasure in daily life.

What is Pilates?
Pilates is an approach to exercise developed by Joseph Pilates in the 20th Century.  Pilates improves core strength, stability, posture and joint mobility. The method is particularly useful in injury rehabilitation and post natal fitness.  Pilates shapes and steamlines, corrects  inefficient movement patterns and muscle imbalances and provides a wonderful compliment to yoga, dance and all sports.
